CTI technicians perform inspections on condensers and heat exchangers which include three-ball micrometer measurements, rigid borescope, and full length fiber-optic video probe inspection. Other services available upon request.

3-ball Micrometer Inspection

The 3-ball micrometer inspection typically consists of tube I.D. readings taken at the 1", 3" , 6", 8", 10", 12" depths into the tubes. This will determine not only the extent and depth of erosion, but the necessary dimensions required for the CTI Shield. Extensions can also be added to reach beyond the standard 12" depth.
 

CTI offers a variety of tube cleaning methods, from removing mud and obstructions (CTI Jet-brush) to light scale (rotary cutter/buffer or metal bladed cleaners) to heavy duty deposits (water tube drill).
 

CTI applies 100% solids epoxy coatings formulated to suit specific job conditions, including abrasion, erosion/corrosion and galvanic action.
 

If one of CTI's patented restoration systems cannot solve the problem, heat exchangers can be retubed on-site or in one of our fully equipped workshops.
